There is a potential for snow. The race is on 99.9% trail. The trails are dirt with rocks and tree roots occasionally. There is one small section of sidewalk that is about 30 yards in length. The 8K does the beginning 2K loop twice: once at the beginning and once at the end. The course will feature some of the best trails in the country. There is only one small 50 yard section of single track. The trails are wide enough for a car to drive on giving runners ample opportunities to pass. The entire race is run through the forest. There are great views of Mt Elbert and Mt Massive, the two highest peaks in Colorado. Coaches and fans can watch runners run by at least five times.
Spikes can be worn at the runner's discretion.
Awards: Top 5 in each race.

Registration opens on September 28, 2017
Registration closes on October 27, 2017 at 11:59pm
Cost: $10 per runner or $200 per team.
Checks payable to: Colorado Mountain College
Cancellation Policy:
Any cancellations will receive a voucher for next year's race.
Eligibility: This is a QUALIFYING event.
All competitors are student members of a NIRCA member club.
An individual runner's participation in this event meets one of the qualifying criteria to race at Nationals.
