Are you quarantined at home? Do you like to run? Do you have shoes? Well do we have a race for you! We are RunUC the club running team from the University of Connecticut and we are planning a nationwide virtual national 5k event for all and any club runners in the USA.

What’s the best part of the race? It is completely FREE!

How does it work you ask? Just follow these simple steps:

1) Register your runners on this race page (virtually!)

2) Receive bib packet (virtually!)

3) Distribute bibs to your runners (virtually!)

4) Put on shoes (optional)

5) Run your fastest (optional) 5K

6) Send us your time (with photo proof of performance)

7) See how you rank against the nation!

8) Take your shoes off

9) Drink chocolate milk (mandatory)

Race motto: “Distant Socializing > Social Distancing”

We are very fortunate to be partnering with Positive Tracks for this event. This nonprofit group will be matching donations up to $100 that are made on our GoFundMe site here: link

All money raised will go directly towards the Center for Disaster Philanthropy's COVID Response Fund. If you’re able to donate anything at all (even a dollar makes a difference), we’d greatly appreciate it :)
