Volunteer!
Going out to watch the race? Get an up-close and personal look at NIRCA Cross Country Nationals by volunteering -- parents and spectators, come support your runner or team while being a course marshal or helping with setup and teardown.
Volunteers gain free entry into the Open 6k and food will be provided.

Feel like a bit of chocolate? IIf you want to learn the Hershey Story, check out theMuseum on Chocolate Avenue, providing all NIRCA runners and spectators a special offer!
The Hershey Bears face off against the St. John's Ice Caps on Saturday, November 10 at 7pm. You won't want to miss any of the action. Participants in the NIRCA National Cross Country Championships can receive a special discount to attend the game.

Alumni Schmooze-fest
NIRCA <3 Alumni! All NIRCA alumni are invited for food and drinks at our favorite Hershey hang-out spot on Friday night before the meet. Free food isn't just for college kids anymore! Alumni are also welcome to come race the Open/Alumni 5k and/or volunteer on Saturday morning!

This isn’t just ANY Saturday night in the land of chocolate. Come to the NIRCA all-club social on Saturday night... there may be other fun Hershey surprises in store! (Entry is open only for NIRCA participants.)

Come as early or late as you want, stay for a while or just come to hang out after you grab dinner. (Not sure how to get there? Read On.) We have plenty of city guides, recommended restaurants, and an online map of the city so you know where you're going. Pick up info at team check-in. The first 1,000 registrants for Nationals will receive a NIRCA glow-in-the-dark wristband at team check-in. Keep NIRCA on the mind throughout the year!

Friday Night Chowdown
While no formal gathering is planned for Friday night*, we chose some good casual restaurant picks that won't upset the stomach (or wallet!) as a pre-race dinner. There's plenty of room at each of these restaurants, and some of them have party rooms. See them on the Cross Country Nationals Map
Open 6K Race
Ten dollars doesn't just buy you a footlong anymore! Run the Open/Alumni 5k, a cross country race on the morning of Nationals. When was the last time it cost only $10 to race on a championship course? Awards for top 3 overall male and female finishers. Alumni are invited to stay after the 6k and volunteer during the NIRCA races. Parents? Come on out and race!
Not a runner? Parents and members of the community are invited to volunteer as course marshals as they support the runners. Email sbartley[at]clubrunning.org to sign up!

If you can't beat 'em on the run, then beat 'em on the drive! For the fifth year, MRun is collecting and counting the number of pairs of donated shoes (gently used only, please!) Bring your shoes to team check-in on Saturday morning to get counted! The winning team will receive a delicious award.
