Drug Uses
Anafranil is indicated for treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your physician.
How Taken
Use Anafranil as ordered by your doctor. To avoid stomach upset take Anafranil with a meal. It can take 2 - 3 weeks before you feel the effect of Anafranil. Continue taking Anafranil even if you feel well.
More Information
Anafranil can cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects may worsen if Anafranil is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Use Anafranil with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor. Anafranil should be used only by the patient for whom it has been ordered. Do not take less or more or take it more often than recommended by your doctor.
