About the Event
The IU Mini Marathon course is both scenic and challenging. The course runs through the heart of the IU Bloomington campus, passing Sample Gates, Dunn Meadow, Greek Row, and other landmarks, and through downtown Bloomington including Kirkwood Avenue, Courthouse Square, and the charming neighborhoods south of the city.

The half marathon race starts and finishes in the area around Memorial Stadium and Assembly Hall on the north side of campus. Bloomington and Monroe County are known for hilly terrain; this event is known for its challenging course. While all half marathon participants (NIRCA and general public) will eventually run together, NIRCA athletes will start the race in a dedicated start area on the West side of the IU Football Stadium.

Awards and Scoring
Top 3 NIRCA teams
Top 20 NIRCA male and female finishers will be recognized as All-Americans.
An unlimited number of runners from each club may compete.
A team consists of 3 or more runners of the same gender from each club.
Team scores are calculated by the total combined time for the team's top 3 finishers in each gender division.

Registration
Important! Do not register at the IU Mini event website. To compete in the NIRCA-sanctioned Road National race, you must register with NIRCA.
NIRCA event registration closes promptly at midnight (end of day) on Monday, March 28th, 2011. You will receive an invoice for the number of runners you have registered at that point in time. Entry fee payments will not be accepted at the event; please mail it according to the instructions in your invoice.
