2018 NIRCA Half Marathon Nationals Cancelled for Weather

We're equally disappointed that the weather could not cooperate - runner safety is THE top priority.
The mood is still very upbeat at Devault Alumni Center, and all NIRCA half marathon athletes are invited to come get a free HHM event shirt and/or medal until 8:30am today.
As you can imagine, managing a half marathon is a very large undertaking which involves a police force, residents, and agreement from the city, all permission & services which are constrained to a small window of a few hours. Unfortunately, there are no viable alternative options, nor can the event be rescheduled/postponed.
