The 2008 NIRCA cross country schedule is now posted. For this season, the East region will be split into two regions: Northeast and Southeast. NIRCA's third season will kick off on September 20 in Dearborn, Michigan and conclude at Nationals on November 8 at Penn State. More meets will be announced soon!
NIRCA is proud to welcome one of the nation's strongest collegiate clubs for next year's cross country season. The Wisconsin Track Club is one of the oldest competitve collegiate running clubs at a school with a storied history in the sport. The club looks to make a run for next year's NIRCA team titles.
Central Michigan University is the latest member of NIRCA, and the fifth to join this Spring. Their membership takes the national total to 37 - and five in Michigan. Next year looks to be NIRCA's most competitive yet. Look out for the Chippewas at races in the Fall!
Sophomore Calvin Brawner missed winning his heat by a fraction of a second, running 4:10 to highlight Oregon's performances at the John Knight Twilight in Monmouth, Oregon. The meet was the last of Oregon's track season. David Reid was the top club finisher in the 5000, coming through in 15:41. He was followed closely by Conor O'Brien in 15:42 during the windy race.
