Tom Heinonen has moved the UO Running Club's Tuesday pre-practice meetings to the lower-level overhang of the Student Recreation Center, next to the turf fields but away from the drizzle. The usual meeting spot is the waterfall in front of the rec center; the runners' presence by it is ubiquitous, in the shape of a semi-circle around their Hall-of-Fame coach. | Read more |
Men's team champions: Wisconsin
With four runners in the top ten, Wisconsin ran to the men's team title by a landslide, beating second place Oregon 35-89. The team's top four runners finished within 14 seconds of one another. | Read more |
Women's team champions: Michigan
Led by Rachel White in second place, Michigan took the 2008 championship over Penn State, 51-64. After White, a tight pack followed in the mid-24s. Penn State was in second place for the second year in a row. | Read more |
Men's individual champion: Matt Flaherty
Matt Flaherty, a graduate student from Indiana University, won the men's 5.2 mile race in 26:54. He was in the lead pack from the start, and moved ahead to win by 11 seconds. | Read more |
Women's individual champion: Kelsey Armstrong
Kelsey Armstrong, a sophomore from Clemson University, passed Michigan's Rachel White, who led most of the race, with 100 meters to go to take the win in 22:30 over the hilly 6k course. | Read more |

Stulock announced as NIRCA's second Executive Director
Julia Stulock was officially announced today as NIRCA's new Executive Director. Upon the conclusion of Greg Haapala's two-year original term, Stulock was selected to succeed him by her peers on the NIRCA Executive Council. She will serve as Executive Director of NIRCA for 2009 and 2010.
